                                                                         CATECHIST NOTES
                                    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday
                                                  January 31, February 1, 2 & 4

     1) Meeting Today for all Catechists: Please plan on staying today for a 20
      minute meeting in room # 124 following your session.   Items being discussed –
      Religious Ed Week and Young Stewards Day.

     2) Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012.  Reconciliation begins with the
      level 8 classes on Tuesday Feb. 28, 2012, in the church.

     3)  With Reconciliation taking place in the church, it would be a good idea to do
      your church tours or stations of the cross in the next couple of weeks.  You will
      not be able to get into the church with Reconciliation going on.

     4) Every absence needs to be excused by a written note from parent.  Make-up
      work needs to be assigned by you for every absence.

     5) All Catechists:  If you have been teaching all year without taking a Virtus
      Training Session, now’s your chance to change that.  Judy will be offering a
      Virtus Training Session – “Protecting God’s Children for Adults” on Saturday
      February 11, 2012, 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM.  To register go to www.virtus.org. click
      on the tab labeled “registration” and follow the prompts - Organization is
      “Rockville Centre, NY(Diocese).” Our location is “St. Anthony of Padua R.C.C.
      (East Northport).”

     6) ATT: LEVELS 7 & 8:
             a) If you are interested in having your class run the CYO food concession
              stand on the Saturday that’s on either side of Valentine’s Day, please let
              Tony Capobianco know 757-4013.    
             b) Please continue to submit Confirmation assignments that you collect
              from your disciples along with your check list inside the clear
             plastic envelope for us to see. These assignments will be returned for you
             to take home to read and mark with positive remarks.
             c) Please call the parent of any disciple who has not completed the
             assignments.
             d) If any of the forms from the grade level packet have been lost, they can
             be downloaded from our website www.saintanthonysreligioused.com click
             on parents’ page, click on the grade level and click on the form they need.
