                                                       CATECHIST NOTES
                                    Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday
                                                     October 25, 26, 27, & 29, 2011   

    1)  Parent Enrichment for Saturday is cancelled.  

    2) Monday is Halloween – Absolutely no food or drinks are allowed in the
        classrooms; therefore, no parties.  

    3)  Distribute Orange Pumpkin Carving Prayer to all your disciples.

    4)  If you have not attended a Virtus Training, Judy is presenting Virtus here on
        Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 9:30AM.  You must register online at www.
        Virtus.org.

    5)  Substitutes are becoming more and more difficult to recruit.  If you are
         going to be in need of a substitute, please look to the parents of your
         students. Inquire in advance if one of them could substitute for you in the
        event you are unable to be here. They would need to meet with either Pat or
        Judy and complete the necessary paperwork.  Start asking your parents now.

    6)  Bibles are available at the front desk for you to use in your classrooms.
         They must be signed out by a one or two children from your class.  The
         children will need to know your name, classroom number, and the number
         of bibles you will need.  Because of our numbers two children will have to
         share one bible.  The bibles must be returned before the dismissal bell
         rings.

    7)  Disciples should always be supervised by an adult.  If you need something
         from the front desk, send one of your disciples.  

    8) IMPORTANT! At the end of class instruct the disciples to put chairs on top of
        the desks (except Saturday Session 1). Close and lock windows and pull on
        the outside door to be sure it is locked.

    9) Continue to collect “Parent Agreement Forms.”  Both Parent and Child must
        sign it.   Additional blank forms are available at the front desk.  Please leave
        all “Parent Agreement Forms and Class Forms in your folder. Do not take
        them home.

    10)  Attendance Registers, Sign Out Sheets (level 1-6) and Chapters Covered
           sheet must stay in your folder at all times, do not take them home.  

    11)   All Absentees must bring a note when they return to class and complete
            the work that was missed while they were out.  Please enforce this rule.

    12)   Pictures should not be taken of the children unless parents sign a
            RELEASE FORM.

    13)   LEVEL 1 Catechist: Level 1 Books have arrived. If you have anyone in
            your class without a book send them to the front desk.

    14)   Level 7 & 8:  Distribute the blue sheet “Nicene Creed” to your class.  An
            explanation is on the reverse side.  They should memorize this
            Translation.  This translation will be used at Mass every week beginning
            Nov. 27th.  Their books have the old translation.  They can scotch tape the
           Creed on the inside cover of their books.
