CATECHIST NOTES Tues., Wed., Thurs. & Sat. Dec. 1, 2, 3 & 5, 2009

1)Tuesday Catechists:
 A) No class next week, Feast of Immaculate Conception.  
 B) Next time you meet will be Advent/Christmas Presentation,see instructions below
 C) Review songs today and complete your prayer intentions on paper and wrap in small
     box to be presented at Advent/Christmas Presentation as per our meeting.
 D) Distribute disciple’s Christmas ornament today because of no class next week.
2) Collect all Christmas Gifts that are brought in today and place outside your
  classroom door for pickup.
3) Distribute enclosed Advent Calendars to all your disciples today.  Put names of
   absentees on the leftovers and distribute next time you meet.
4) Distribute parent invitations for the Advent/Christmas Presentation. Encourage    
  Children to ask parents to attend.
5) ATTENTION ALL CATECHISTS: Song sheets and discs for Advent/Christmas
   Presentation are in your folders.   Use these to practice each week and RETURN    
   DISCS EACH WEEK IN YOUR FOLDER.
6) ATT:LEVELS 4-6: Catholic Daughters Contest forms available at the front desk.
7) ATT:LEVELS 7&8: RESPECT LIFE CONTEST forms available at the front desk.
8) Level 7: Send any latecomers with Commitment Pledges to the front desk to
  receive their Bibles. Inform disciples to bring their Bibles to every class.
9) Levels 7& 8:
A) Continue explaining the packets you distributed last week. Make sure
          any absentees receive their packets today.
B) Distribute and explain the enclosed liturgical calendar today and use it every
  week to teach them the liturgical seasons we celebrate at Mass.
C) Notice that Nov. 29th was the first Sunday of Advent. Only three weeks left
  for Advent Mass reflections.
10) ADVENT/CHRISTMAS PRESENTATION:
  A) IMPORTANT TODAY - Per our meeting, please recruit one volunteer per levels    
      4, 5, 6 to be one of the three kings & one from level 7&8 to be Mary & Joseph.
  B) Decide on your prayer intentions and write them out.  Choose another volunteer
       to present a wrapped jewelry size box during the presentation.   
  C) If more then one child per level volunteers the name will be chosen by lottery.
  D) Children will report to the classroom first for attendance.
 E) We will walk over to the church as a group once all the children are present.
  F)  Dismissal and sign out will be from the church.
