                                                    December 6, 7, 8 & 10, 2011

    1) Place all Christmas Gifts that are brought in today outside your classroom door
before you begin your class.  We will come around to collect them.

    2) The next Catechist Formation Meeting is Monday December 12th, Sessions 7 & 8 will
        be covered, lower church alcove 10:00AM – 11:30AM or 7:30PM – 9:00PM

    3) This Sunday we celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Advent and we light the pink candle.
The pink candle is a sign of the joy that fills our lives.  We rejoice over all God does
for us.  It is Jesus’ coming that makes us truly joyful.  We think of Mary waiting
for Jesus to be born. JOY!

    4) Announce to your class that Thursday December 8th is a Holyday of Obligation,
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception – the teaching is - the Blessed Virgin
Mary was conceived without sin.  Mass times are Wednesday, December 7th 5:00PM,
       Thursday Dec. 8th 6:45AM, 9:00AM, 12:10PM and 8:00PM.

    5) The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is Monday, December 12th.

    6)  Please do not have Christmas Parties in your classrooms before the Christmas
break.  The principal of the school has asked us not to have food or drinks in the
classrooms because of food allergies in the children of the school and of course our
        own children.

    7)  Children who have not attended class as of today’s date are being removed from
our program unless we’ve heard from the parent.  They will have to re-register
when and if they return.  Please be sure all work is made up by those students who
have been absent and a note brought in to you.  Keep notes in your folder.

    8) LEVELS 4-8: Encourage your disciples to enter the Catholic Daughters Contest.
Forms are available at the front desk.

    9) LEVEL7: All Level 7 students should have returned their Commitment Pledges to
you by now.  If anyone from your class has not turned in their Pledge send them to
see Pat at the front desk today.

    10) LEVELS 7 & 8:
           a)  Next Teen Mass is December 18th:  Encourage all disciples to attend.  If they haven’t
written a reflection for a teen Mass, now is the time to attend this Mass.
           b)  Advent Mass Reflections can still be written for the December 11th or Dec. 18th Mass if
they haven’t already written one.  If they go to Mass on December 25th Christmas Mass
will be for the Christmas season Mass Reflection.
           c) Continue to collect all completed Confirmation Packet work.  Remember to write the
date next to the names of those disciples who have completed work and insert the
work in the large clear envelope for us to check.  We will return the work for you to take
home in the large red envelope we provided you with last month.

                                                       Have a Peace-Filled Session!
