CATECHIST NOTES Tues., Wed., Thurs. & Sat. Dec. 8, 9, 10 & 12, 2009

1) Please give each disciple a Nativity ornament as a reminder to keep Christ in the  
  true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas from the Religious Ed. Office!
2) Place all Christmas Gifts that are brought in today outside your classroom door.
  We will be around to collect them
3) Remember to distribute the Advent Calendars to those who were absent last week.
4) Also for those who were absent last week distribute parent invitations for the          
  Advent/Christmas Presentation next week. Encourage parents to attend.
5) ATTENTION ALL CATECHISTS: Continue to practice the songs for the Advent
   /Christmas Presentation.   Song sheets and discs are in your folders.   RETURN    
   DISCS EACH WEEK IN YOUR FOLDER.
6) ATT:LEVELS 4-6: Encourage your disciples to enter the Catholic Daughters
 Contest.  Forms are available at the front desk.
7) ATT LEVELS 7 & 8: Encourage your disciples to enter the RESPECT LIFE
  CONTEST.  Forms available at the front desk.
8) Level 7: Thirty four disciples have not returned their Commitment Pledges. Send
   latecomers with Commitment Pledges to the front desk to receive their Bibles.
   Inform disciples to bring their Bibles to every class.
9) Levels 7& 8:
A) Please make sure that every disciple has a packet to work on over the
  Christmas break.
B) Continue to refer to the Liturgical Calendar every week to emphasize the
  Mass reflections that are to be completed during Advent and Christmas.
10) ADVENT/CHRISTMAS PRESENTATION:
  A) We have our Mary and Joseph, the 3 Kings and our banner carrier for the
      Advent/Christmas Presentation.  They know who they are.  Please thank all the
      children who volunteered even though they weren’t chosen.
  B) Your class’ written prayer intentions should be completed by now.  All intentions
       should be placed in one jewelry sized box and wrapped for the presentation.  One
       volunteer from your class is needed to present your wrapped gift to Mary and
       Joseph during the presentation.  The volunteer will not be required to speak.
  C) Children should report to the classroom first for attendance.
 D) We will walk over to the church as a group once all the children are present.
  F)  Dismissal and sign out will be from the church.
