CATECHIST NOTES Tues., Wed. Thurs. & Sat. - Feb. 2, 3, 4 & 6, 2010
1) Important Level 6 Parent Meeting Wednesday Night Feb. 3rd 7:30pm.
2) Parents and disciples in LEVELS 6, 7 and 8 ONLY will attend a Teaching Mass
during class time on Tues. Feb.2 at 4:30pm, Thurs. Feb. 4 at 4:30pm, Sat.
Feb. 6 at 9am and 10:45am and Wed. Feb.10 at 4:30pm in the church.
3) For your own information - enclosed is a booklet “Confession – Questions & Answers
about the Sacrament.” Please take this booklet home and read through.
4) The Sacrament of Reconciliation for Levels 3-8 will begin the week of Feb.23
with Level 8 being the first to attend, the only exception will be Thurs. Feb. 25
level 7 & 8 will attend. Depending on the number of priests we have
helping out will determine the next grade level to attend. We will work our way
down the grade levels from there.
5) ALL CATECHISTS: Please plan on attending a meeting next week following your
session in the gym. Items being discussed – Religious Ed Week March 14-21 AND
Young Stewards Day.
6) Every absence needs to be excused by a written note from parent. Make-up work
needs to be assigned for every absence.
7) All disciples should bring book, Bible for Levels 7 & 8 and pen/pencil to every class.
If a disciple lost his/her book a new book should be purchased, Cost $20.00.
8) Discipline problems need to be addressed immediately. Please call parent and ask
for their support to achieve better behavior.
9) REMINDER: Absolutely no food or drinks allowed in the classrooms.
9) ATT: LEVELS 7 & 8:
a) February 21 at 7:00pm is the Teen Mass needed for Mass Reflection in
Confirmation Packet.
10) H-E-L-P!! Substitutes on all levels are needed. If you are available to “sub” at
another session, please let us know today. God loves the cheerful giver!
