                            CATECHIST NOTES Tues. Wed. Thurs. Sat. Oct. 13, 14, 15, 17 2009

*PLEASE ANNOUNCE TO THE DISCIPLES.  
Everyone must enter and exit the building from the main entrance on Fifth Ave. Do not use lower
level doors or other doors to enter or exit.  
                                           
1) Catechists must attend a VIRTUS Training Session. Register online www.virtus.org
2) October 7th was the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.  Remind disciples to pray for
 World Peace with their families or on their own during this month.
3) If a disciple was absent last week, send him/her to the front desk with their Class
 Form to pick up a TEXTBOOK. Please check that all class forms are filled in.
4) Inform your disciples that their books will cost $20.00 for a replacement if lost.  
 Instruct them to write their name, room number and your name on the inside.
5) Disciples should always be supervised by an adult.  If you need something from the
 front desk, send one of your disciples.  
6) IMPORTANT! At the end of class instruct the disciples to put chairs on top of the
desks. Close and lock all windows and pull on the outside door to be sure it is locked.
7) Continue to collect “Parent Agreement Forms.”  Check that both Parent and Child
 signed it.  Remind those who forgot it to bring it to the next class.  Additional blank
 forms are available at the front desk.  Please stay on top of this.
8) Attendance Registers must stay in your folder, do not take it home.  
9) All Absentees must bring you a note when they return to class and complete the
 work that was missed while they were out.  Please enforce this rule.
10) Pictures should not be taken of the class unless parents sign a RELEASE FORM.
11) The next Catechist Formation class is October 19th in the lower church alcove
from 10:00am – 12 noon or 7:30pm – 9:30pm.  Session 4  “The Catechetical Session"
& session 5 “Catechetical Resources” will be covered
LEVELS 2-6:
1- Notes from parents are required for car pools and sibling pick-up. Use orange sign out
sheet for dismissal procedure each week.
Level 7:
 Remember to give a Commitment Pledge to those who were absent last week.  
 Please emphasize the importance of returning Commitment Pledge at 7PM Mass on
 Nov. 15th.
PO1 & PO2 –please return folding chairs to the hallway before leaving every week.
