PFI: A Holistic Approach to Discipleship
A two year process of spiritual, theological, personal
and ministerial formation for Catholics
The Pastoral Formation Institute offers an exciting, tntergrated approach to discipleship through
instruction, prayer, faith sharing and the development of leadership skills. Weekly two-hour sessions prepare
lay Catholic adults to enter more fully into the life of the Church. Studies include Sacred Scripture, Christololgy,
Ecclesiology, Morality, Sacraments, Liturgy and Church Ministry. In addition to weekly sessions, formation
weekends at the Seminary enrich the PFI process. Two to three formation weekends are held a year. After the
completion of the two-year program, participants have the option to enroll in a third year leadership track in a
chosen ministry.
